Guided hike with local naturalist

On our three hour walk through Yukon’s boreal forest we will get in touch with nature. The trail takes us along a creek and to the banks of the Yukon River.

While walking along the trails, we will come across animal tracks like the snowshoe hare’s and discover the creative ways for adaptation to the winter environment. How is the snowshoe hare adapted to traveling on snow? What is he eating during winter? What about the beaver that lives here? Guided by a local naturalist you will interpret the encountered animal signs and understand the survival strategies of plants and animals that make the boreal forest their home. An interpretive booklet inspires you to take own notes and draw sketches.

Bring your winter cloth and your camera. You will have the opportunity to take your very special pictures of a frosty environment and an iced over creek!
